Human Resources -
For large web sites a Project Manager may be neccessary to liase with individual specialists, or teams, working on different aspects of the site. No matter what the scale of the project co-ordination, or transactions, that include other people are usually called for. Maintaining good relations with all of those involved always translates into a more efficient site. |
Deadlines -
Dividing the work into blocks with deadlines is helpful in creating production milestones, these can be used to make projections, and map progress for interum reports. |
Quality Testing -
Although the site is not public at this stage, testing by individuals or groups, who have been supplied with proper access information, provides important feedback, and personal evaluations that can help determine what adjustments need to made. |
Revisions -
The following areas all need to be addressed in an ongoing way. Revisions, and upgrades are created in response to testing results, and then re-installed for further testing. |
- Cross-browser compatibility
- Cross-platform compatibilty
